I wonder how many fall prey to them though lmao...ecspecially poetry.com. I mean usually you can tell when it is a scam. You want to know what my first advice on a legit contest was? If they say it is free or ask for an extremly learge entry fee it is 9 times out of 10 a scam. A legit contest always asks for an entry fee of some sort and it usually isn't mch.

Oh wow, thanks for posting this. Unfortunatly I have been scammed then. I can't believe people would want to do this. Is there anything I can do? I posted two of my poems there along time ago.

Just make sure you don't pay them or encourage them that you are further interested.

Just recently visited Poetry.com, looks like Lulu.com bought them out. Lulu.com is a trustworthy source so it looks like poetry.com is no longer a scam site.

In case you're wondering wether or not a website is trustworthy or not, there are services on the net that provides safety while searching. Just about any anti-virus has one. I'm using Mywot myself.
Anyhow, onto finding where the introductions are suposed to be >.<';

Anyhow, onto finding where the introductions are suposed to be >.<'; Yeah virus scanners help with virus's, but it won't help against you giving your personal information and your credit card information to sites scamming you for your money. Wish there was an easy way to catch scams, but no program can. Just your intuition about if what they are asking is legit.
